NotesIs there a permit to park the removal truck outside my building?
Effectively no. None of the four Lower North Shore councils sells a quick removal-truck permit. North Sydney's Works Zone is a construction product (about $1,990 plus a $10,000 deposit, 16-week minimum), Willoughby issues no permit for trucks over 3 tonnes, and Mosman and Lane Cove permits cover a resident's car. So we book the building's loading dock and work to legal kerb rules with a scouted spot and good timing.
How much notice does my building need to move?
It varies by building, commonly 72 hours to 14 days, and big towers up to about 21 days with documentation. We help you lodge it in time. Confirm your building's exact notice period with the building manager or strata.
Do you provide a certificate of currency for my strata?
Yes. Many Lower North Shore buildings require written proof of the removalist's public-liability insurance before approving the goods lift, some up to about $20 million. The amount varies by building, so confirm yours and we will provide our certificate of currency.
Can I move on a weekend?
Often not. Many strata buildings allow weekday daytime moves only and ban weekends and public holidays outright. This is the single most-missed rule and the top cause of a move being cancelled on the day, so check your building's permitted days and hours before you set the date.
